The three other ebooks are in French, which is the writer's native language - however, Cheneyland is available in English on this platform, but only for its first half. The Halloween Picture Show is visible in English on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

    What is CHARLIE'S TRIPS about?

This amazing book tells the incredible story of a young soldier from the deep Midwest, swept away by a big tornado and finding himself on the West Coast, 21 years later, his memory lost but replaced with visions of a disastrous future. It is, first and foremost, a rather distinctive science fiction novel that depicts the erasure of a timeline; it then guides us - through the eyes of a lost, broken soul, almost a ghost - across a futuristic yet familiar landscape that, from his perspective, proves mysterious, unsettling, and even hostile. This leads to situations ranging from the absurd - or even farcical - to the brink of catastrophe. The book takes the myth of the Wizard of Oz and turns it completely on its head, swapping the farm girl for a soldier and replacing the whimsical, magical realm with our own world—a world that has moved on without him, envisioned here through the author's speculative lens. The blog's inaugural post offers an in-depth analysis of this remarkable book to better prepare the reader, who would do well to consult it.
